1. The Commission on Faith and Belieffe has been assembled by the Woolf Institute, Cambridge, to:
consider the location and role of religion and belief in modern Britain, and the significance of emerging trends and identities
take a look at how concepts of Britishness and national identity might be inclusive of a variety of faiths and beliefs, and might in turn affect people’s self-understanding
explore how shared understandings of the typical good may add to higher levels of shared trust and collective action, and to a more harmonious society
make suggestions for public life and policy.
8. The commission will report near the end of 2015.
